The Rainout
A troop planned a big summer campout for months. The day they arrived, it started raining, and it rained all weekend. Tents leaked. Sleeping bags got soggy. One patrol decided to complain. Another patrol held a mud olympics, cooked pancakes under a tarp, and invented a song about wet socks. Guess which patrol still talks about that trip.
A Scout is Cheerful. Being cheerful doesn't mean pretending everything is fine. It means choosing your attitude when things go wrong. We can't control the weather, but we can control how we respond to it. That choice changes everything.
This week, when something goes wrong, look for one way to make it better or funnier. Turn a chore into a game. Make up a silly song. Be the person who helps everyone else smile through the rain.
