The Marshmallow Pillowcase
A Scout is Cheerful~57 sec143 wordsCub Scouts
Imagine pulling a pillowcase from a basket of clean clothes. You shake it open, and it puffs up like a big marshmallow. Folding laundry still takes work. But now you give that silly puff a grin, smooth the cloth, and fold it flat.
The Scout Law point Cheerful means looking for the bright side and doing tasks with a good attitude. It does not mean you must feel happy all the time. Some jobs are dull. Some days are hard. You can say how you feel and still choose a kind voice. A little bit of fun can help you get started and keep going.
This week, pick one job you do not like. Look for one harmless way to make it fun, like humming while you fold clothes. Then finish the job with care. Let your good attitude help carry you through.
