Enough Line for the Tide
Picture a boat at a dock as the tide drops. A line that looked fine earlier is pulling tight. The person tending it does not cut it loose or ignore the strain. They adjust it, keeping the boat secure as the water changes.
The Scout Law point Loyal asks us to stay true, not stay stuck. As you grow, friendships change. Family roles shift. Your crew or ship gains new members. Loyalty means paying attention to what those connections need now. Sometimes it means taking on more responsibility. Sometimes it means giving someone room to learn. You can be true to family, friends, leaders, school, and nation without pretending that nothing ever changes.
This week, choose one relationship where something has changed. Ask what support would help now, listen without defending your old habits, and do one specific thing that keeps that connection strong.
