Who Goes First?

Imagine a game with a big bowl of blocks. Each player adds one block to a tower. The rule says the tallest player always gets the first turn. Round after round, the same person starts. Soon, that first turn feels less like a treat and more like a locked door.

The Scout Law says a Scout is Obedient. We follow rules so we can play and work together. But we can also notice when a rule is unfair. We do not fix it by grabbing blocks or knocking down the tower. We ask the adult leading the game to listen. Then we offer a fair plan: let a different player start each round. Calm words can help make better rules.

This week, follow a rule even when waiting is hard. If a rule seems unfair, ask a trusted adult about it. Listen, then suggest one fair change.
