The Sticky Space Bar

Imagine sitting down to type a message and finding that the space bar sticks. Every sentence comes out jammed together. You turn the keyboard over and gently shake it. A cracker crumb drops out. Such a small thing to make such a mess.

The Scout Law point Clean asks us to notice what we let build up. That includes dirt on our bodies and trash in our surroundings. It also includes what we feed our minds and let into our words. A cruel joke can stick around long after everyone stops laughing. Clean does not mean being spotless or never making mistakes. It means caring enough to clear away what gets in the way of a healthy, kind life.

This week, try a four-part cleanup: wash up after being active, leave one space neater, skip one mean video, and replace one hurtful comment with words that help.
