The Missing Corner

Imagine an adult setting up a yard sale. A bright puzzle box sits on the table. The seller remembers that one corner piece is missing. A customer picks it up, smiling. It would be easy to take the money. Instead, the seller explains the missing piece.

The Scout Law point Trustworthy asks us to tell the truth and keep our promises. That includes facts someone might never discover until later. Trust is not about making ourselves look good. It is about giving others solid ground to stand on. If we hide the missing piece, someone else gets the surprise. If we speak honestly, they can decide what to do.

This week, choose one responsibility someone is counting on you to finish. Say exactly what you will do and when. Follow through, and if something goes wrong, tell them before they have to ask.
