The Leaky Water Bowl
Imagine a pet sitter filling a dog's water bowl. Before leaving, she spots a little puddle. The bowl has a crack! She could leave and say she filled it. But she promised to keep water ready. So she finds another bowl, fills it, and tells the owner what happened.
The Scout Law point is Trustworthy. That means we tell the truth and keep our promises. The pet sitter did more than pour water. She made sure the dog had water to drink. She also told the whole story, even the tricky part. People can depend on us when our words match what we do. We do not have to be perfect. We do have to be honest.
This week, make one small promise at home, like filling a pet's water bowl or putting your shoes away. Keep it. Then tell the truth about what you did.
