The Leader Within

Scouts, this weekend we head into the outdoors for our big campout. It is a chance to test our skills, push our limits, and grow stronger as a troop. You will be building fires, navigating, and cooking together.

But beyond the campcraft, I want you to focus on something more important: leadership. Leadership is not about a patch or giving orders. It is stepping up when needed, helping others without being asked, and making sure no one is left behind. It is doing the right thing even when no one is watching, because a Scout is trustworthy. As you set up camp, cook, and take on challenges, remember this: a great leader is not the loudest voice but the one who lifts others up. Whether you are a new Scout or the senior patrol leader, you have the power to lead by example.

This weekend and all this week, lead in your own way. Take initiative, show respect, and encourage someone who is struggling. Let's make it an adventure to remember!
