The Golden Spatula

At a family campout, the pack gave out a silly award each morning: the Tidy Tent Award, an old spatula spray-painted gold. On the first day, tents were a mess. By the second day, sleeping bags were rolled, shoes were lined up at the door, and wrappers were tossed. Everyone wanted that spatula.

A Scout is Clean. Keeping your things neat makes life easier. You can find your flashlight in the dark. Your gear lasts longer. And everyone in your tent is happier. Clean habits start small and last a lifetime.

This week, keep your room tidy every day. Make your bed in the morning, put clothes where they belong, and pick up toys before bed. At the end of the week, give yourself your own golden spatula.
