The Dish Crew

In one family, the rule at dinner was simple. Whoever cooked didn't clean. One night, the youngest kid noticed Mom had cooked, cleaned the kitchen before dinner, and was falling asleep at the table. Without a word, the kid started clearing plates. Then a sibling joined in. Then Dad. In ten minutes, the kitchen was spotless.

We often think of loyalty as something big, like defending a friend. But being Loyal starts at home. It means noticing when your family needs you and pitching in without being asked. Loyalty to the people closest to you is the foundation for every other kind.

This week, do one thing for your family that nobody asked you to do. Clear the table, fold the laundry, or help a brother or sister with homework. Don't announce it. Just do it, and watch what happens.
