Ready for Breakfast
Imagine a neighbor standing among moving boxes marked kitchen. He opens one, then another, looking for a spoon. A friend arrives and asks what would help most. Not more carrying. Just one drawer ready for breakfast. Together, they find the silverware and put it away.
The Scout Law point Helpful means caring about what someone actually needs, not just choosing the job we want to do. That drawer would not look like much in a moving truck. But it could make the next morning feel less overwhelming. A good turn does not have to fix everything. It can make one small part of a hard day easier, without earning us anything at all.
This week, ask someone at home which small task would make their day easier. Listen to the answer, agree on something you can do, and finish it without looking for a reward.
