An Afternoon for Seeds

Imagine a garden where neighbors share tools. The shed opens only in the morning. One gardener works every morning, so she never gets a turn. She does not break the lock. She asks the garden leader if the shed could open one afternoon, too. Together, they make a plan. Now she can plant her seeds.

The Scout Law says a Scout is Obedient. That means we follow rules, but we can also help fix unfair ones. Rules can keep tools safe and help people share. Yet a rule may leave someone out. We can notice that. We can ask kindly, explain the problem, and suggest a fair way. We work with the person in charge instead of sneaking around.

This week, follow a rule that helps people share. If you notice someone cannot join in, ask a trusted adult to help you suggest one fair change.
