A Second Pickup Hour
Imagine a neighborhood tool shed where borrowed tools can be collected only at noon. An adult who works all day cannot use it. Instead of slipping in after hours, the neighbor asks the organizers for an evening pickup time and offers to help staff it. They agree to try it.
The Scout Law point Obedient means following rules and working to change unfair ones in an orderly way. That neighbor did both. A locked shed kept tools safe. But the pickup schedule shut some people out. Respecting a rule does not mean pretending it is perfect. We can listen, explain the problem calmly, and bring a useful proposal to the people who can change it.
This week, follow a rule even when it is inconvenient. If you notice one that treats people unfairly, ask a trusted adult to help you suggest a fairer way through the proper channels.
