A Roll Without Words
Imagine a town bakery with a rule: every order must be spoken out loud. A customer who cannot speak points to a roll. The baker points to the rule. Another customer stays in line but asks the baker to let people point to what they want, too. The baker nods and changes the sign.
The Scout Law point Obedient means we follow rules and help change unfair ones in an orderly way. Waiting in line gave each person a turn. But the rule about speaking left someone out. The helpful customer did not shove or yell. Instead, they named the problem and asked the person in charge for a fair fix.
This week, follow a rule that helps everyone. If you notice a rule that leaves someone out, ask a trusted adult to help you explain the problem and suggest a fair fix.
