The Thank-You Note
After a den visited a fire station, the firefighters showed them the trucks, the hoses, and even the pole they slide down. A week later, the den mailed a big card covered in drawings and signatures. The next time the den drove past, they saw their card taped to the station wall, right next to the door.
A Scout is Courteous. Saying thank you is good. Writing it down is even better, because it shows you took time to remember. People who help us often never hear how much it meant. A note lets them know.
This week, write a thank-you note to someone who helped you. It could be a teacher, a coach, a grandparent, or a neighbor. Draw a picture if you like. Then deliver it yourself and watch their face.
