The Sound You Cannot See
Imagine an adult selling a pair of headphones online. The photo looks great. The ear pads are clean. The cord is neatly coiled. But when the cord bends, the left side goes silent. Before posting, the seller adds that detail, even though it might cost the sale.
Trustworthy is a point of the Scout Law. It means people can depend on our words, not just the parts that make us look good. A photo cannot show every problem. Neither can a quick answer. Being trustworthy means sharing the detail someone needs before they decide to count on us. It also means making promises we can keep rather than promises that merely sound good.
This week, before you say something is finished, ready, or working, check it. If there is a catch, explain it plainly. Then make one clear promise about what you will do next, and keep it.
