The Hardest Word
At lunch, a group was picking on a younger kid. Everyone at the table laughed along, or stared at their food. Then one Scout set down a sandwich and said one word. "Stop." The table went quiet. It wasn't loud or dramatic. But the teasing ended, and that younger kid never forgot who said it.
A Scout is Brave. Bravery isn't just climbing cliffs or facing storms. Often it is the courage to stand up for what is right when everyone else is going along. That kind of courage can feel scarier than any mountain.
This week, if you see someone being treated unfairly, find your courage. You don't have to fight. You can say stop, sit with the person, or tell a trusted adult. One brave word can change everything.
