Inside the Glove
Imagine finishing a morning in the garden. You brush the soil off your gloves and set them neatly by the door. They look ready. But when you pull one on again, grit scratches your palm. Turning it inside out reveals what a tidy appearance missed.
The Scout Law point Clean asks us to care for more than what others can see. We wash our bodies and look after shared spaces. We also choose words that do not leave someone hurting. We give our minds good things to grow on, instead of feeding every mean joke or ugly message. Having an angry thought does not make us dirty. What matters is how we respond and what we keep practicing.
This week, do a bedtime check: body, mind, words, surroundings. Wash up, put one thing away, and replace one hurtful message you might send with something useful or kind.
